His artistic journey began with early national acclaim in Nepal, where he consistently secured first-place victories in top-tier district and national dance competitions. This early passion laid the foundation for a brilliant career dedicated to performing arts education, entrepreneurship, and global entertainment.

The Master’s Pedigree

Mr. Upreti’s deep-rooted expertise spans classical, traditional, and commercial dance genres. He holds the prestigious ‘Sangeet Praveen’ degree (a Master’s equivalent) in Kathak from the renowned Prayag Sangeet Samiti. His world-class training includes formal mentorship under legendary masters:

Before bringing his expertise to the United States, Mr. Upreti was a dominant creative force in the Nepalese entertainment industry. As a visionary entrepreneur, he successfully founded and directed Sur-Saptak Art Center and Sur-Shringar Films Pvt. Ltd., training thousands of aspiring artists and shaping the performing arts curriculum across Kathmandu’s top-tier academic institutions.

  • Directorial Excellence: Made his directorial debut with the critically acclaimed feature film ‘Chaal’, alongside directing hundreds of high-end music videos and short films.
  • On-Screen Success: Starred as the Lead Actor (Hero) in the feature film ‘Kaalratri’, the Lead Antagonist (Main Villain) in ‘Rocky’, and featured in over a dozen popular television serials.
